Eli is our older herd sire, a 3/4 angora white who knows he is
boss. Even when he was the smallest in the barn he had a take charge
attitude. When I go out to feed "the boys", he leads the pack in sneaking
past me out the door and circling around me to get back in to be first at the
feed, just to show me he can. At 6 months old he serviced three of my does
two to three times his size, giving me 7 kids in April. Then serviced 2 doelings in the Winter, during his recovering from surgical disbudding, to give
me 2 kids in July. He is definitely the Alpha male although not the
biggest boy. |
Abramo is a timid little boy right now, although has
shown interest in the girls. He tends to stay close to Eli, making
it difficult for Eli to push him around. He has a beautiful long
type B fleece.
Abramo is Italian meaning "father of multitude". We have
high hopes for our little boy. He joined our farm October 14th after
a long trip from Oregon. He has been shorn and his fleece is gorgeous
light caramel grey. He is a sweet but timid little thing right now, just getting
to know his way around.

Amigo is a brave little thing. Already challenging both my
mini cheviot ram, Matzoh and the older Pygora buck Eli.
Amigo joined us October 14,2009 from Hawks Mountain Ranch in
Oregon, along with Abramo. Amigo, being Spanish for "friend", lives up to
his name. He has become Eli's best friend as well as Abramo's and is also
there with Eli looking for a pat when I go out to feed them, or if I'm just in
the area. His fiber is soft with a touch of chocolate tinge to his light
grey.
